The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Mubende District Ms. Rosemary Byabashaija has announced the suspension of David Lutalo’s "Kabisi Kandagala concert" in Mubende.
David Lutalo is launching his concerts today in Kampala at Hotel Africana but accordingly some concerts in some districts close to Mubende district may not happen.
The suspension has happened because of the outbreak of a deadly Ebola disease which broke out in Mubende last week.
According to Ms Rosemary Byabashaija, people of Mubende will be hard to control during the concert so they better not let it happen.
“I have been seeing the concert’s advertisement. We have suspended the concert till further notice whenever people see a musician from Kampala, they become uncontrollable so we had to suspend the event to deal with the disease first.”
“Allowing gatherings to continue would be risking people’s lives since the virus spreads rapidly through physical contact,” RDC Ms Byabashaija said on Thursday as she appealed to singer Lutalo to call off his concert initially scheduled for September 30, 2022.
