NUP’s Mathias Mpuuga new leader of opposition

NUP's Mathias Mpuuga appointed leader of opposition in 11th parliamentary

National Unity Platform (NUP) leader for Buganda Region Mathias Mpuuga has today May 28 been appointed as the new leader of opposition in 11th parliament. 

Mpuuga has replaced Federal for the Democratic Change (FDC)’s Betty Aol Achan. 

Another appointed member from NUP is Member of Parliament (MP) for Manjiya county John Baptist Nambeshe who has replaced FDC’s Ibrahim Ssemuju Nganda as the opposition chief whip.

Accordingly, Medard Ssegoona has also been appointed to head Public accounts committee, Joel Ssenyonyi as head of COSASE and Zaake Francis as parliament commissioner.
