Strick lockdown recommended ahead of Museveni address

As the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths continue to surge in the country the Ministry of Health and the Taskforce have recommended new measures to be considered by President Yoweri Kakuta Museveni in his next national address.

Just within two days ‘Tuesday and Wednesday’ the Ministry of Health reported over 3000 new cases and 79 deaths.

It’s against the background that president Museveni will again be live on the airwaves of all Radios and TVs to update the country about the deadly virus in the country.

Museveni is expected to address the country today Friday June 18, at 8 O’clock.

Some of the new restrictions made include; Total lockdown on all public transport, government officials have to drive themselves to work and allow their drivers to stay at home, all government officials who use public transportation have also been ordered to stay home. All officials who are in a position of working from home have been asked to do so.
