Members of Parliament Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana troubles are ‘far from over’ after they have today been committed to the international Division of High Court for trial by the Masaka Grade One Magistrate Christine Nantegge.
The legislators together with four other suspects namely Mike Sserwadda, Mugerwa John, Wamala Bule and Kanyike Jackson are accused of terrorism and murder among other charges.
The two are believed for having been behind the gruesome Masaka Killings which claimed at least 26 lives.
Masaka Magistrate Court Judge Nakintu Victoria released Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana on a UGX 20 million cash bail in September 2021.
However, moments after their release, they were re-arrested and slapped with new charges of murder reportedly committed at Kisseka Village Lwengo district.
