Museveni mourns Archbishop Lwanga Kizito’s death

The country was left in shock by the sad news of the sudden death of Kampala archbishop His Grace Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga on April 3rd, 2021 who was found dead in his room that same day in the morning. 

Just like many who have sent their condolences and mourned the loss of the man of God, President Yoweri Museveni has also sent his condolences through his official Twitter account. 

“With profound grief, I have learnt of the death of Kampala Archibishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga. I join the Catholic Church, all religious faithful and the country in mourning Archibishop Lwanga. He has died in faith. May God grant his soul eternal peace.” He Stated. 

The statement comes at a time where Museveni is being accused by a section of Ugandans for being the one who ordered for the murder of the late.  It is being alleged that Lwanga was killed by poison on Museveni’s orders.
