Police offers free transport for students stuck in Kampala

While moving around Kampala city, you will realise that a number of Ugandans, students inclusive are stranded due to limited buses and high transport costs. 

The situation came after president Museveni ordered for another lockdown for 42 days which saw schools and institutions of learning close temporarily.

It is against this background that Uganda Police has offered six buses to transport students to their destinations at no cost as government tries to respond on the matter of transport hiking.

The buses have already parked in different Bus Parks to transport students.

As of Tuesday June 6, transport costs have been hiked to an almost thrice the previous charges.
