VIDEO: MP Zaake explains why he visited Gen Katumba in Hospital

Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament-MP Zaake Francis Butebi earlier today visited General Katumba Wamala at Medipal International Hospital.

Zaake’s action shocked many Ugandans who believe he holds a grudge for the General after he punched him into a coma in 2017 during the Age limit removal bill saga at Parliament.

According to MP Zaake, he visited the former Chief of Defence Forces-CDF because he also visited him while he was in the hospital after he sustained injuries from the punching.

“When I was in the hospital due to injuries I sustained in parliament, Gen Katumba Wamala visited me. That is why I had to come here and do the same,” MP Francis Zaake told journalists.

Former CDF boss was admitted on Tuesday after sustaining Injuries following an attempted assassination on his life by unknown gunmen at Kisaasi, a Kampala suburb.

During the assassination, stray bullets shot dead Katumba’s daughter Brenda Nantongo Katumba and his driver Haruna Kayondo.

Gen. Katumba was today Wednesday discharged from the hospital and attended her daughter’s vigil at his home in Najjera. Brenda will be laid to rest tomorrow Thursday.
