Radio legendary Alex Ndawula loses battle with rare disease

Veteran radio deejay Alex Ndawula passed on at the age of 59.

The veteran radio crooner who made radio worth listening to passed on Monday evening at Nsambya hospital n Kampala Uganda.

Ndawula has been living a low profile since 2017 when he retired from Capital FM Uganda after almost 20 years on the Kisementi based media house.

At the peak of his powers, Alex had the work at his feet, with his deep radio voice and charming personality making him the voice behind your radio joy and his work became a yardstick for many upcoming radio presenters.

Born in New York, US in 1963, Ndawula lost his father when he was only eight years.

Ndawula went to SMACK, Nairobi and later Namasagali for his high school before he enrolled at Nakawa Technical Institute to do Marketing. He would thereafter find his way to radio, since it had been one of his highly held hobbies.
