Journalist Frank Walusimbi has spoken out for the first time after quitting his long time job at NTV Uganda. Walusimbi was an NTV Uganda primetime news anchor for 15 years.

Days after his quitting, there were trending speculations that he was going to join Buganda’s BBS Terefayina. Others alleged that he was also heading to Next Media’s NBS TV. However, all turned out false stories.

BOOM.UG understands that Walusimbi called it an end at the Serena based TV station after landing a juicy job at United Nations Higher Commissioner for refugees (UNHCR).

According to Walusimbi, he is currently the communications officer for UNHCR.

“Folks, I took on a new role as Associate Communications Officer @UNHCRuganda For some days now, I have been fathoming out the appreciation and best wishes you sent out to me when I announced that I had ceased my duties at NTV.
