Bobi Wine’s son Solomon suspended from school over weed

Reports reaching BOOM.UG news desk indicates that former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine’s firstborn Solomon Kampala was suspended from St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) over drugs. 

According to sources, the 18 year old was caught with marijuana substances wrapped in papers like cigarettes sticks in mid January after a surprise check of all students’ dormitories. 

The school disciplinary committee ruled that Solomon was involved in acts of indiscipline incompatible with his status as a student hence suspending him for two weeks with effect from February 1, 2022.

It’s alleged that Bobi Wine and his wife Barbra Itungo Kyagulanyi reported to the school with their son on February 15 2022 to make a fresh undertaking of obedience and compliance with school rules and regulations. 

Solomon was given a last warning and promised to be expelled if caught in possession of the substances again.

During his active years of music, Bobi Wine was a renowned smoker of weed and he was never embarrassed by it as he always praised it in his songs. He however revealed years ago that he quit the substance and went for rehabilitation confessing that he is now a new man seeking to lead Ugandans.

In May 2021, social media users were taken aback when Solomon recorded a video of himself in which he looked as though he was smoking. Many criticised the young boy and his parents for being a bad role model. 

His mother however took to social media and defended him claiming her son only added a smoking filter in his video adding that it was not real.
