NUP’s Mr Mosh arrested 

Former Spark Television presenter Mr Mosh Ssendi is being detained at Central Police Station- CPS, Kampala after being arrested over re-opening for vendors who were chased from streets by KCCA. 

Mosh who is the Lord Councillor 5 for Makindye East III, Ggaba, and Kansanga took to his Facebook account a day before he got arrested and said that the vendors deserve to stay in the city.

“10,000 Ugandans have been thrown in jail, beaten up, merchandise stolen and families left to suffer all because the regime has refused to follow its own laws and let them work on specific streets, specific days, and at a specific time without hindering the work of shop owners,” He said.

“Today as a council ( the law-making body of Kampala) have decided to go to the street and officially open those specific streets gazetted by law for hawkers,” Mosh added.

On Friday, the day he got arrested, the former singer in the company of other concerned citizens took to the streets and demonstrated against KCCA’s actions something that got him arrested.

He spent the whole night behind cells.
