Balaam Barugahara opens up on why Presidential advisor Catherine Kusasira is mad at NRM

Singer cum Presidential advisor Catherine Kusasira shocked many a few days as ago after she took to her social media platforms to bash her own political party, the National Resistance Movement – NRM accusing them of hypocrisy and failure to appreciate her enormous work.

Now seasoned events promoter, organiser and manager Balaam Barugahara has come out to react to the incident.

Kusasira in her rant pointed a finger at NRM members for failing to appreciate the efforts she put in while campaigning for the party’s head Yoweri Museveni during the 2021 presidential elections which he won with a landslide victory.

Kusasira revealed that she took a loan from the bank and invested it in campaigns but the party has never refunded her, leaving her to choke on debts.

She explained that even though she meets the president, she can’t get any money directly from him because of protocol, and when he orders his juniors to send her money, they do not do so, leaving her to keep grassing and running away from loan sharks.

She further disclosed that her good heart will most likely cost her properties Including her house which was given as security to the bank.

It should be remembered that during the campaigns, the singer posted a video clip in which she was showing off bundles of money confessing that she got it from NRM.

Social media users were quick to resurrect the video after she made the hateful comments about NRM, reminding her that she was paid fully and doesn’t demand anything from the ruling party.

Disappointed Kusasira clarified that the money seen in the video was not from NRM explaining that she only said it was from NRM to make Ugandan youths believe that supporting NRM would benefit them.

Now, Balaam Barugahara, a staunch NRM supporter who also doubles as Museveni’s friend has now come out and criticised the manner in which Kusasira aired her problems.

“The method they have used to communicate their problems isn’t the best. They should have looked for ways to communicate them to the president because family things can’t be brought to the public,” He said during an interview with a local television station.
