David Lutalo denies begging money from Gen Saleh

Months ago, Ugandan artistes invaded Gulu in droves to meet the Operation Wealth Creation Supremo Gen Salim Saleh.

Many went there with hopes that they could attain money to help them offset the losses they incurred after the Closure of the entertainment industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Among them was singer David Lutalo.

He and other Ugandan stars such as Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Feffe Bussi, Gravity Omutujju among others trekked to Gulu but returned with broken spirits after they were not given as much money as they expected.

Many were seen cursing and lamenting that they invested in alot of money to travel to Gulu but we’re disappointed.

However, for David Lutalo, he insist that he had not gone to Gulu to beg from Gen Saleh but to attend a meeting that he thought would have a big bearing on promoting Uganda’s music industry. 

He says that he could not have failed to attend a gathering of fellow music stars where he believed ideas on how to recover from the closure would be discussed.

It should however be noted that a leaked list of artistes and the money they demanded from Gen Saleh made rounds and David Lutalo was among the names that were demanding for really huge sums.
