Carol Marcah and Nisha Bridgette driving MC Kats into legendary activism champion

We have been here before; MC Kats being in the company of women is a common sight ever since he came onto the limelight. However, this time around, it’s for a different reason and an indeed noble cause.

The celebrated events’ emcee, real name Edwin Katamba has had an indifferent two years, characterised by undeserving condemnation, judgement and stigma directed to him due to his HIV status.

At a time when almost everyone seemed to close doors against him, Kats saw himself pressed to the wall and attempted suicide in the UK just weeks after he had been in and out of rehabilitation centres due to what was being termed as ‘madness’. It was at this time that Fille Mutoni had just left, and two other women, Caroline Marcah and Nisha Bridgette, just like guardian angels came into Kats’ life.

The two have ever since been the driving force behind Kats’ rejuvenated health, with Marcah, a mainstay on Kats’ side being rumoured to be his new catch.

Being in a constant presence of an infected Kats who was working for a rival media company cost Carol her job at Spark TV, however, she was not deterred. She has since worked around the clock to make sure she keeps Kats in line and embrace his positive living.

As for Nisha, she is the architect of all of Kats’ activism campaigns and events the emcee has always held since his coming out.

Nisha Bridgette has been the strong pillar around which Katamba has landed all these gigs and the recent engagements with the Uganda AIDS Commission which he will start working for full time next year.
