Justice Kenneth Kakuru who gained fame for his dissenting judgment in the ‘age limit case has been confirmed dead after fighting a strange disease for so many years.
Justice Kakuru has been on the appellate court’s bench since 2013 when he was tapped from private practice. He died while staying waiting for his appeal in court.
According to reports, Kenneth Kakuru had been admitted to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi for some time and its where he breathed his last from.
It is said that he was battling stage four prostate cancer and it is the disease that has got him off the earth.
This year 2023, prominent people have died of cancer. Just NUP’s head of legal team Anthony Wameli was laid to rest late last week after battling cancer too.
The details about Kakuru’s burial haven’t been revealed but we will keep you updated.
