Late legendary singer Philly Bongoley Lutaaya’s family is seeking an apology from BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo. This came after Eddy Kenzo publically disrespected the late. [Read Story Here].
Eddy Kenzo’s statements were a response to critics who claimed that the remake of the late’s song Born In Africa he released was unpleasant.
Late Philly’s brother identified as Uncle Bean in an interview with a local YouTuber revealed how the family is not happy with the singer’s statements.
According to Uncle Bean the last born, Eddy Kenzo didn’t mean to make such statements in his right mind and the only mistake he did was not coming back to the media to rectify his statement.
Philly Bongoley Lutaaya’s brother said Eddy Kenzo is not even a quarter to the late’s legacy because his songs don’t last even six months. He said Eddy Kenzo can’t even write a Born in Africa sentence.
“As a family, we are not happy with Eddy Kenzo’s statements although I think he didn’t mean to say them. Like any other person he made a mistake but the problem is that he hasn’t come back to rectify it. We don’t need an apology but we want him to take back the words he said,” Philly Bongoley Lutaaya’s brother said.
He added that Eddy Kenzo didn’t ask permission from them to re-do the song. He got the song from Gen Salim Saleh who bought all the songs of the late.
