All my songs are bigger hits than Philly Bongole Lutaaya’s – says Eddy Kenzo

BET Award winner and Grammy nominee Eddy Kenzo real name Edirisa Musuuza has claimed that has bigger hits than late singer Philly Bongole Lutaaya. He further said he is a great singer than Bongole.

This comes after fans trolled Kenzo for re-doing one of Philly’s songs Born In Africa saying he didn’t do justice to it. Some of the fans said it would be better if he only did the video and left the audio.

For Eddy Kenzo, the song is perfect because the family of the late Philly granted him permission and they are happy with how it came out.

In his latest press conference, Eddy Kenzo said he doesn’t see a reason why fans are trolling him because he is better than Philly and none of his songs is bigger than his.

“I respect Philly that’s why I made a cover for his song, I wanted to push it to the people that didn’t know it. Am trying to promote my country by all means, that song is good, he composed it while in Sweden trying to show the beauty of Africa. We are lucky its composer is not a Kenyan but a Ugandan, we can’t let it down when we have a big mic, I tried to put it on stage, and Philly,” Kenzo said.

Weekend hitmaker said it is on record his songs are known and he wants those of Philly to also be as big as his in the coming years.

“I don’t know why people are mad at me for re-doing Born In Africa yet the family of Philly Bongole Lutaaya is happy. People should know that all my songs are bigger than his everywhere. I have millions of views on YouTube and that should tell you something,” Eddy Kenzo further added.
