Singer Bruno K real name Bruno Kigundu has called out fellow musician Eddy Kenzo for the comments he made about the late Philly Bongole Lutaaya.
Philly Bongole Lutaaya died years ago due to HIV/AIDS and on his deathbed, he released a series of inspiring songs like Born In Africa and others educating about HIV.
To carry on his legacy, recently Eddy Kenzo requested the family of the legendary to re-do the Born In Africa song. He was granted permission but fans were not happy with the outcomes.
When Eddy Kenzo was trolled, he was forced to make certain statements like he is bigger than Philly Bongole Lutaaya and so were his songs too.
According to Bruno K, the statement Eddy Kenzo made is wrong. The internet lying to him with the views doesn’t guarantee him the right to disrespect the legends.
Bruno K said he is so much disappointed in Eddy Kenzo despite looking up to him and expecting much more in him.
“With all due respect, my big brother Eddy Kenzo, it’s not the views that show that a song is big. Despacito has more views than most of Micheal Jacksons songs, but when it comes to greatness, it can’t match MJs songs. It’s like wizkid or Burna boy coming out to say they have bigger songs than Fella Kuti. I love your music my big brother and am a big fan but that statement is so wrong. Just imagine Elly Wamala, Bassude lived in this Internet generation they would have the same views as yours big brother. As a fan of your music and a person who looks up to you big brother am disappointed by the statement you made,” Bruno K.
