Davi Turyatunga a student in A level vocation and resident of Binyena village Kisizi parish Nyarushanje sub-county was discovered dead from Ensikweri Moses’s bar in the lodge room.
According to the kigezi region police spokesperson Maate Elly, the deceased appeared at the mentioned bar with his friend Twinamatsiko Sustino in Kisizi trading center where they allegedly asked to be served drinks in a private room lodge section.
“Around 4:00am Twinamatsiko Sustino allegedly asked allegedly informed the bar attendants that his colleague now the deceased was very drunk and unable to move by himself,hence left him deep asleep,” Elly Maate said.
He added that surprisingly, the deceased was discovered dead by bar attendants in the morning of 13th February,2023 at about 10:00 when they checked on him after he failed to open the door.
Maate says police was accordingly notified, scene was visited by district CID boss and team processed 4 empty plastic bottles of Torero drink,and 2 empty ones of stingy energy drink recovered from the room where the body was found.
However, police in Rukungiri district is currently investigating circumstances surrounding the death of the the young man.
