You can't boycott someone’s music for speaking out loud – Naira Ali tells Bushingtone after statement on Gravity

Struggling musician Naira Ali is not siding with producer Bushingtone for asking the music industry and fans to boycott Gravity Omutujju’s music.

Bushingtone talked about boycotting when Gravity celebrated Jose Chameleone’s postponed ‘Gwanga mujje’ concert which was put down by heavy rains.

According to Naira Ali, it is not okay that Gravity Omutujju celebrated a fellow artiste’s loss and at the same time it is not okay to boycott someone’s music for speaking out.

Naira Ali said artistes also have a voice and they will not keep quiet for fear to be boycotted.

Naira said he was also threatened in such a way when she talked about manager Roger paying the media not to play her music.

“I might not side with gravity’s gesture but you can’t boycott someone’s music for speaking out loud. it’s a free world let people SPEAK! We can’t keep keeping quiet just because you guys are in position to suffocate our music. Abantu abaamu batunyigiriza ate netukakibwa nokusirika. The day i said someone( Manager Roja & friends) pays for our music not to play, half of his media friends came into my dms threatening me how they would suffocate my music. TUKOYE!! STOP THIS BS!,” Naira Ali posted.
