Kampala tycoon SK Mbuga, the STV CEO has donated UGX3 million to sick singer Evelyn Lagu for her kidney campaign.
Evelyn Lagu suffered from kidney problems in 2019 and since then she has been bedridden.
In 2021 Evelyn Lagu was taken to Turkey for a transplant but it wasn’t successful after doctors realised her life couldn’t handle the process.
Without any other options, Evelyn Lagu returned to Uganda and resumed taking the medication that helps her stay for quite longer.
However, despite being in a situation where she is counting her life on her fingertips, Evelyn Lagu decided to start a donation campaign to save other kidney patients in the hospital. The singer lately stagged an online concert where she featured a number of artistes for the same cause.
After learning about her great idea, Tycoon Sk Mbuga with his good heart came out and donated 3M to Evelyn Lagu. According to SK Mbuga, Evelyn Lagu is an artiste and she can’t survive without performing. So donating to her is a very good thing it helps her become better.
“I am donating to Evelyn Lagu’s kidney campaign. We who have been in the industry know how hard it is for an artiste to survive without stage performances. If they don’t perform they don’t get money since Evelyn Lagu is sick let’s all support her,” SK Mbuga said.
