Events Promoter Abbey Musinguzi also known as Abitex Promotions has revealed that he is going to sue Freedom City.
This came after he was released from prison on bail where he was for weeks. Abitex was arrested and charged with negligence after 11 revellers died during his New Year show at Freedom City.
According to one of his lawyers also Kampala Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago, Abitex was not responsible for the cause of the stampede. Lukwago says that the people who were supposed to be arrested are the owners of Freedom City and the people that were in charge of fireworks.
The embattled promoter maintains he is innocent and not to blame for the demise at Freedom City but rather the venue owner and management.
He has come clear and issued an intention to sue Freedom City management.
“I have no problem with anyone. The people that were supposed to be arrested were left free and I served for them in prison. I am going to sue them and make sure everything is fine,” Abitex said.
