Events promoter Balaam Barugahala has requested the banning of 10k shows in Kampala within this year 2023.
Balaam suggestion was a seconding of fellow promoter Bajjo events’ idea he brought up a few days ago.
All this came after the incident on New Year at Freedom City where 10 people lost their lives leaving others injured as they rushed to watch fireworks in the middle of the crowd.
According to Balaam, if the event was more expensive people wouldn’t be that overcrowded but 10k was little for everyone to access the venue.
Balaam said the more money paid for the concert, the good quality and assured security for everyone.
“I would also want to second the idea of Bajjo saying 10k concerts should be banned in Kampala. That is a very good idea it works very well. People don’t understand that cheap things are always expensive. These 10k concerts should be outside the city,” Balaam said
