Promoter Abitex real name Abby Musinguzi has been sent back to Luzira until January 10, 2023 on charges of Negligence over his end of year fete he hosted st Freedom City.
This came after the event claimed lives of 10 revellers and others were left terribly ill .
According to police, Abitex was the owner of the concert and he has to be held accountable for everything that happened during that concert including death.
Abtex was arrest yesterday by police and investigating are ongoing.
According to police, Abitex took profits above the safety of the lives of Ugandans and he needs to be held accountable for that.
“We have also established that the organisers put profits before the safety of revellers and concert goers, by using only one gate on the assumption, that other non-ticketed persons would take advantage and gain entry. We are also investigating circumstances under which young children between 10 – 17 years, gained entry into the venue,” Police said
